Young woman hits toddler and flees

A young woman driving a blue Ford fiesta was seen hitting a toddler and fleeing the scene. The tragedy took place the evening of July 4, 2017 on or near tippecanoe place in Winfield, IN. Child is stable with minor injuries. If anyone knows of the women’s whereabouts please contact lake county sheriffs department.
