Doctor Who Celebrity Gunned Down

It was a two-gunned stranger — possibly a deranged fan — who murdered “Doctor Who” actor and “Broadchurch” star David Tennant as he signed autographs after Comic-Con in Orlando. Friday night.

Police said Tennant 46, did not know the 27-year-old gunman who opened fire as the swarthy actor signed autographs.

The killer fired into Tennent’s head and then killed himself as he was tackled by the singer’s friend, fellow Doctor Who Alumni John Barrowman

The gunman — identified Saturday night as Kevin James Loibl — had traveled to Orlando from elsewhere in Florida with the intention of killing Tennant, police said.

He did not come in his own car, but had been dropped off, armed with two small-caliber handguns and a hunting knife.

“[It is] unknown what his plans were for after killing David, but very heroic actions by John Barrowman to jump in could have prevented loss of life,” said Orlando Police Chief John Mina
“Her brother is a hero for saving and stopping him from … hurting anyone else,” Orlando Sgt. Wanda Miglio said.
