Mike Evans Blows ACL, non-contact, out for the remainder of the 2017 season

Michael Lynn Evans III (born August 21, 1993) is an American football wide receiver for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Texas A&M, where he earned consensus first-team All-American honors after recording a school record of 1,394 receiving yards on 69 receptions,[1] and was drafted by the Buccaneers in the first round with the seventh overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft.

Star Bucs wide receiver Mike Evans left Tuesday’s preseason practice game against the Vikings in the first quarter after suffering what appears to be a left leg injury.
The point here is NOT to alarm anyone. As of the beginning of the second quarter — with Jameis Winston and the Bucs starting offense off the field — the Bucs still hadn’t updated Evan’s injury.
Initial reactions from the field indicated it might be a rolled ankle. There was a serious lack of contact on the injury, however, which is always a big red flag when you’re talking about someone’s leg.
Low and behold the worst possible scenario came to light. Evans has torn his ACL and will require surgery and 8-12 months of rehab.
This will be a major blow to a young offense that was expected to get to the next level.
