Nationwide Manhunt

On July 31st detectives received a lead in a cold case from 2015. The tip came in from an informant arrested on unrelated charges that had information on the 2015 murder of Jake Gentry and Carroll Stephens of Newport, Arkansas.

The case went cold after detectives followed all leads and couldn’t identify a suspect. The informant led police to the murder weapon which had Janiszewski’s fingerprints on it.

Detectives attempted to arrest the new suspect at his residence but found that the residence was unoccupied. Suspect’s employer claims that he left work around noon on July 30th and never returned.

Several attempts have been made to arrest the suspect at homes of friends and relatives but he has not appeared. Police are working hard to apprehend the suspect on capital murder charges and hope to have him in custody soon.

We will keep you updated on any further developments in the case.
