Los Angeles—’This Is Us’, the hit NBC drama has been canceled and will not make it’s much anticipated return this fall after polls showed the series premiere would only be able to draw a disappointing 180 million viewers. “We were aware that the show would be competing with dragon-boat races on ESPN and reruns of Modern Family on USA Network but we were hopeful the previous success of This Is Us would carry over to the new fall season. We underestimated the number of loyal dragon-boat racing fans there are in this time slot.” NBC network executive Wei Xiang said. “Anything less than a quarter of a billion viewers is simply unacceptable.” In order to fill the time slot left by the canceled program, the actors, producers, writers, camera operators, and everyone else associated with the show will be executed live on air next Thursday at 9 p.m.
