Detroit Police say Shauntavia Sweet robbed an armored car at a 7-Eleven in the city Thursday afternoon and may have gotten off with more than $600,000. Police said the armored truck robbery was the second robbery that Shauntavia Sweet committed on Thursday. Police said the first crime was at a car wash on Harper where she made off with $15 and a cell phone.
A few minutes after the car wash robbery, the armored truck was also robbed. In both crimes, police said she was holding a gun
Police have already found some of the cash a few blocks away. They say they believe the rest of the money is in a backpack inside a home a few blocks north of the robbery. They’re waiting on a search warrant so they can look inside the home.
Police did not offer any suspect information at this time.
