President Donald Trump today announced a 1.4 million dollar effort to begin Q1, 2018 to have a life like statue of the great German dictator erected and placed in the National Mall just south of the Washington Memorial. With the greatly debated national focus of the removal of Confederate Monuments across the southern United States, the President announced via Twitter that “This would ensure the preservation of history for America’s youth.” The President further stated when when questioned about the bizarre project, “The state must declare the child to be the most precious treasure of the people. As long as the government is perceived as working for the benefit of the children, the people will happily endure almost any curtailment of liberty and almost any deprivation.” citing a quote from Adolf Hitler’s “Mein Kompf”.
Construction of the monument is to be done in parallel with the Mexico border wall, which also will never f*cking happen. The sad part is, for just a moment before you read the article you didn’t immediately just dismiss this as nonsense. You thought, even for just a brief second there, “Yeah, I could see Trump doing that…”.
