2 UCF Students Found Unresponsive, Possible Overdose

Authorities are investigating possible drug involvement in two weekend deaths at the University of Central Florida, Orlando.

A SWAT report cites that officers found 21-year-old John Gianopolus, a University of Central Florida student from Sarasota, unresponsive in a residence hall late Saturday after a student called 911. Investigators also linked 18-year-old Julian Toomsen-Hall, a New College freshman from Georgia, also found unresponsive in a different residence hall, as correspondents believe both Gianopolus and Toomsen-Hall were involved.

Investigators say the deaths could be drug-related, but they’ll have to wait for toxicology tests to confirm.

University of Central Florida has nearly 64,000 students.
New College has nearly 900 students.
