A Yates Center man was pulled over for speeding, reckless endangerment,eluding police and several other charges against him are pending investigation after a short chase which ended at Pete’s gas station where Douglas Adams turned through the parking lot of the convenience store off of highway 54 onto highway 75 south bound after a short chase east on 54. The 2016 ford mustang Adams was driving made it through but the police officer, Jeff Martin collided with the fuel pumps which sparked and ignited sending flames 50 feet in the air claimed employee Michelle Jackson. But the police vehicle a 2017 Chevrolet Camaro made it through with minor injuries to the officer. So far Adams is still at large. If you see him, call 1 900 315 6767.
