Former Prime Minister Tony Abbott has advocated sending the army in to stop Macklemore singing his hit song “Same Love” at the NRL Grand Final this coming Sunday.
“The army will probably be there anyway putting on some kind of show, so why not put them to use?” argued Mr Abbott.
“They usually have someone parachute into the stadium anyway. Give him an AK47 and get him to land on the stage next to the bloke and tell him the show’s over.”
A Defence spokesman chose to roll his eyes rather than comment.
