Vladimir Tarasenko to Miss Most of 2017-2018 Season

St. Louis Blues star forward Vladimir Tarasenko is projected to miss 5-6 months of the 2017-2018 NHL season after a meniscus tear in his left knee. Team medical staff reported that the injury occurred during a team practice session on Thursday, September 28 prior to St. Louisโ€™ second to last preseason game.
This truly unfortunate event only adds to St. Louis growing pile of injuries spanning from defensive veteran Jay Bouwmeester to top-line center Alexander Steen. If Tarasenkoโ€™s diagnosis is correct, he will become the second Blues player to miss the entirety of the 2017-2018 season.
