Cabinet discuss “War Plans” as tensions between the US and N Korea mount.

In a meeting of the Cabinet and senior Military leaders held yesterday, the minister for defence Sir Richard Faloon said that “contingency planning” was at an advanced level. He went on to say that the emergency budget to be used in event of war was currently Β£1.5m. However, he said that we would follow America’s example during the previous 2 world wars and wait until it was nearly finished before joining. When questioned is that figure would be enough? He responded “Of course, we will bring in conscription and pay them peanuts”. The Prime minister was alleged to be chuffed to bits.
