Gordon Hayward was playing in his first game as a Celtic, and then his career took a turn for the worse. He had a major injury to his left leg. He was taken to the hospital and had surgery performed on his leg. Little did the doctors know, the tools they used for the surgery were contaminated with STD’s and they got into Hayward’s bloodstream. Hayward passed away on September 23, 2017 at 9:58 PM. He will be deeply missed by Celtics fans and NBA fans all over the world.
