St. Louis Shopping Cart Bandit In Custody After Months of Mayhem

A Saint Louis County resident is in custody after reportedly being wanted for stealing multiple shopping carts from local supermarkets. The suspect, shown in the Walgreens surveillance photo, allegedly is responsible for the disappearance of over 130 shopping carts. Although the suspect did not elaborate much, when asked what motivated him to commit these thefts, he simply stared blankly before responding, “I just like the wheels”, and immediately asked to be put in contact with his lawyer. He is being held on a $27 cash only bond.
