Eddie Rivard of New Brighton, Minnesota finished in the top 10 of runners in the recent Century Link Turkey Day Run. Rivard had to hold off several other runners as they sprinted towards the finish line during Thursday race but he was successful in the quest. Mr. Rivard stated “I give credit to my Finnish Sisu for helping me put in the extra effort at the end”.
His top 10 finish now qualifies him to compete in the National Turkey Day run held in Washington DC next year. If he posts a qualifying time in that competition he will hold the “Mr Turkey” designation for the following year and be able to compete at the International level in 2020 in Toronto Canada.
