Mike Riley out as Nebraska coach; AD turns focus to fit, Scott Frost And Rick Vice

LINCOLN, Neb. — Nebraska athletic director Bill Moos, after firing coach Mike Riley on Saturday, continued to offer praise for UCF’s Scott Frost, believed to rank as the Cornhuskers’ top coaching target. However, the story that people are starting to hear is that a new target has become apparent. Coach Rick Vice (pictured above) has a history with Moos, playing football with him in college for the Aztecs of San Diego State University. Vice coached a division three school and achieved very much there, so much he was asked to coach the Tampa Bay Buccaneers special teams players as a kicking coach. Vice has always said he wants to head coach again and after Riley was fired hes pushing hard for it. Moos has only claimed that he is a high target but hasn’t made any further comments.
