National Redhead Day Today!

Today is National Redhead Day in the USA. Celebrated for their rarity, redheads across the country bask in the special attention they get today. Celebratory traditions include serving strawberry shortcake and Big Red soda. Red Hot candies are also a perennial favorite for many.

Professor Ambrose Smith of Alpine State University said, “Less than two percent of the entire population can truly call themselves redheads. Many dye their hair red, but only the lucky ones are legitimate.”

“It took me years to fully accept that my authentic redhair was the gift that I see it as today. In Scotland, it’s not that rare, but my American friends have made me feel quite special,” said Angela Pike, a true redhead.

So, go our and either enjoy your glorious readheaded life or wish those you know well wishes (and try not to be jealous with your plain-Jane hair color).
