Capt Perez was running down the runway in his brand new double decker aircraft from Boeing when he realized he was running out of runway and a crash as eminent.
Capt Perez started to evaluate the situation when he realized he was over weight and immediately started dumping fuel on to the runway. He even sent his crew down to the cargo room and ordered them to literally push crates of luggage and packages off the plane and onto the runway. The crew questioned the Capt and he insisted “do it, or we will crash”. The crew worked feverishly to empty the belly of the massive jet.
Within inches of the runway ending, Capt Perez was able to achieve lift off. Even as the plane was airborne you could still see that the crew was trimming there weight by throwing everything out.
Capt Andrew Perez is being hailed a true hero for saving hundreds of lives and a Boeing double decker aircraft worth almost 500,000,000 dollars.
Capt Perez was approached by a Hollywood movie company to possibly make a Hollywood block buster out of this magnificent story and dedication of Capt Perez.
