Teen killed in deadly shooting at SLC gas station

SLC Police Department are investigating a shooting at a Maverick in downtown Salt Lake City that left one teen dead. The shooting happened at approximately 12:00 a.m. Friday night at a Maverick gas station on 414 W 500 S downtown Salt Lake City. Witnesses state the victim (later being identified as 19 year Old Thomas Jr Ludlow of Payson,UT) “Pulled his truck to a gas pump and got out.” Then proceeded to enter the store where he buys gas and a coffee.” Witnesses than state “Thomas was exiting the store when two masked gunman came from opposite sides of the parkinglot approached Thomas and opened fire.” Thomas was shot 10 times including once in the head. One witness said “After he got shot he fell to his knees holding his head and chest. When he realized he was shot he started crying for help.” SLC medical staff pronounced Thomas dead upon arrival of the scean. SLCPD are still searching for the two gunman and ask if anyone with information to call SLCPD police department.
