7ft Shark Caught In Roaring River State Park

Cassville, MO – The Roaring River State Park and all surrounding tributaries have been closed off to the public after a sighting and capture of a 7ft juvenile bull shark in the park.

Biologists have determined that this shark probably made it’s way down through the St. Francis river in Missouri where at least 10 sightings have been reported. With recent flooding in this part of the country it has become more easy for larger fish to escape through the overflows of the dams while releasing excess water from the reservoirs.

Missouri Fish and Wildlife officials urge caution and recommend all boaters and campers keep a shark bite kit on hand until this has been contained.
