US Navy signs $35 million NASCAR sponsorship deal with Jesse Iwuji

The US Navy closed a 7-year $35 million dollar sponsorship deal with NASCAR driver Jesse Iwuji this morning with plans of taking him to the top level of NASCAR, the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series. BBMC Mortgage and Perfect Hydration will retain primary sponsorship rights while still in contract with Jesse and upon completion of contract will have first right of refusal but if they do not renew then Jesse will be in the hands of Uncle Sam for sponsorship. With driver Jesse Iwuji bringing a second armed forces branch back into NASCAR, the opportunities to race with higher dollar teams have began surfacing. Most teams typically only want drivers with money. When asked about the signing Jesse said “I’m still speechless, all I can do is thank the Lord Jesus Christ on this April 1st day for bringing me such an offer. I’m looking forward to making the most of this and while using the opportunity to help others achieve their dreams too. I’m not in this for myself, I want to help others get to their goals.” US Navy representatives also commented on the signing saying “Jesse is going to take our branch to the next level through this enormous platform in NASCAR. With the unique demographics he touches as an African American and armed forces member, we couldn’t have found anyone more professional and dedicated toward seeing sponsors get the best return on their investment. This 7 year deal will definitely see an extension in the future.”
