Kimi Raikkonen close to Toro Rosso for his last F1 season in 2019

Raikkonen – the oldest driver on the grid currently at 38 – seems to have set a deal with Scuderia Toro Rosso for next year. Despite Vettel and Raikkonen are known to get on very well, last weekend’s facts in both qualifying and in the first lap of the race seem to have ruined the relaxed relationship between the two drivers, specially looking to what Sebastian Vettel told to the collegues of Ziggo about his actual situation, where he feels to race against three opponents: the two Mercedes drivers,Hamilton and Bottas, and his teammate Raikkonen. So, after the consistent rumors that came out in the last few days about the possible promotion of Charles Leclerc from Sauber to Ferrari, Iceman seems to have not lost any time and came into contact with the junior Red Bull team for his farewell season in 2019 and according to some rumors there is already a pre-contract deal between the driver and the team. More news will follow in the next days.
