Halle Apperley has been asigned a work experience placement in a local nursery.
While Halle (14) was keen to work with the children she was concerned that she may be asked to wash dishes. The youngster from Kilbirnie, Ayrshire was so concerned that she asked her mother to write her a note stating that she would not be able to participate in any washing up while on the placement.
Mrs Apperley refused to write the note and Halle was subsequently forced to wash the breakfast dishes on her first day at the nursery,
Halle told our reporter “The bowls still had cereal in them; it was awful”.
Despite her traumatic first day Halle has returned to the nursery to continue learning about the world of work. Her family are said to be very proud of her.
