The annual Rush Springs Watermelon ๐Festival will be changing locations this year. Due to the heavy influx of traffic and thousands of Festival visitors the Rush Springs Watermelon Festival will be relocated to Bray, Oklahoma this year. Safety concerns have been a major issue due to the railroad dividing the Jeff Davis Park from all emergency services. There have been so many complaints from visitors the past few years of having to stand in the heat waiting for the train ๐ to move, traffic congestion blocking the streets, emergency vehicles ๐๐๐ unable to respond quickly that this decision to relocate to Bray has been made. All craft show exhibitors are being notified of the changes as well as car show and tractor show exhibitors. There will be ample parking and easy access into and out of Bray to eliminate all parking issues and traffic congestion. The melon exhibitors are expected to really enjoy the new air conditioned facility provided for them. Bray, Oklahoma is looking forward to hosting the Festival this year. Town officials are hoping it will be so successful that the Festival will permanently remain in Bray indefinitely!!
